Packing and Cracking gives a national overview of gerrymandering and focuses on the gerrymandering story of one state at a time. In-person performances have focused on North Carolina and Pennsylvania, two of the most gerrymandered states in the country.
The North Carolina version of Packing and Cracking was presented at The Drama League in August 2019 through its First Stage Residency program. The Pennsylvania version of Packing and Cracking was presented at the Wild Project in January 2020 through the SFX Festival and through the Pennsylvania Center for Women and Politics in October 2021.
Additional in-person plans at LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (March 2020), Carnegie Mellon University (March 2020), and MIT (June 2020) were canceled due to COVID.
